For dramatic sunrises over the sound of Sleat to the Scottish mainland right from your living room.
The standard of accommodation is exceptional and the privacy of the location to be commented upon.
The vaulted ceiling is a real pleasure, so when you wake from the upstairs bedroom you can walk out onto the mezzanine viewing area looking through the full height windows of the gable end of the house.
Get cosy in front of the log fire in the downstairs living room, with sheep skin rugs and relax with your complimentary bottle of wine.
Walk out into the garden and take in the air watching the wildlife and feeling a part of your surroundings.
The View's electrical power is from a ground source heat pump, and has a series of solar panels that feed back to the grid so you know this was built with the environmental friendliness in mind.
PLEASE NOTE: We don't accept children under 12 as the long garden to the View ends with a cliff to the sea. Caution is advised and warning signs are in place.

Amazing Celebratory Weekend
After our cruise was cancelled and no other acceptable alternatives we were delighted to discover availability for this amazing house for our 50th wedding anniversary. The house is aptly named “The View” as this is undoubtably the greatest asset of the property and is a fantastic 180 degree panorama. The house is very well furnished and equipped with everything you could think of in kitchen utensils available to satisfy anyone wanting to cook for themselves. Plenty of comfortable seating options, upstairs and downstairs, make it difficult to choose the best spot to enjoy the ever changing sea views. The house has underfloor heating downstairs, radiators upstairs and a wood stove in the lounge which we used in the late evenings just to add to the ambience despite it being July. The Bose Bluetooth sound box was great but we had no need for the big tv upstairs as we were fully entertained by the ever changing skies, mountains, seas, boats and birds. Even had a visit from a pine Martin one night. The garden is nice for wander around but with one side being at the edge of a cliff is definitely not for kids, dogs or the faint hearted. If we had to pick a favourite spot it would be the bench at the bottom of the garden with best of the views. Being July it was fairly warm, especially upstairs, so the heavy duvet needs to be exchanged for a lighter one. We couldn’t sleep with it on. Being a celebration we had plenty of bubbles to consume but were disappointed to find only two champagne flutes. Annoying that the tank only holds enough water for three showers. One of us always had to wait. These issues did little to diminish our enjoyment of the weekend and we will certainly return.July 2020

This is the third time we have used Skye Serviced Accommodation, and the first time we have stayed at The View. In all, we stayed at Dunhallin Ard three times previously and felt very much at home. We were a little disappointed that Dunhallin Ard was not available for the week that we were on holiday but liked the look of The View so much that we booked it instead. It is a wonderful house with a very ambient and relaxing feel. I am an avid photographer and the location of the house is perfect for the short drive to Ord and Elgol in particular. The view from the garden over to the Knoydart peninsula is fantastic at sunrise and sunset. The mezzanine lounge is perfect for putting your feet up at the end of a tiring day outdoors exploring the many attractions of Skye, but we spent most of the time in the downstairs lounge which is so relaxing with the views and the array of wildlife which came into our garden such as black sheep, deer and foxes and especially enjoyed just sitting watching the many birds which used the feeders in the garden. We were delighted with every aspect of our stay there and were very impressed, once again, with the attention to detail and care that SSA provide. So much so that we will not hesitate to use Skye Serviced Accommodation again very soon. Thank you again!October 2020

This was just the most fantastic place to spend our wedding weekend in Skye. We’ve booked self catering accommodation all over Skye, Lake District and some sunnier climes inEurope. This was by far the best for views, design, equipment...and we were greeted with Prosecco, flowers and cakes to congratulate us on our special weekend. When we had a problem with the hot water, the owners came straight out to check things over and make sure everything was in good order. That level of service is always reassuring. The weekend will stay in our memories forever. Thank you 😊October 2020

Beautiful house in the most idyllic location!
We had the most amazing 3 night stay at The View! The house was simply amazing in every way! It was very clean, high standard of decor and had everything you could possibly need to enjoy a perfectly comfortable stay. Skye Serviced Apartments provided great customer service and responded to messages promptly letting us know the house was ready to check into a little earlier. The house is situated in the most idyllic location offering the most breath taking views, there are no words to describe! We enjoyed relaxing in front of the wood burner gazing out at the views. We would highly recommend and hope to return some day!October 2020

View to die for
This was a spectacular accommodation to explore Skye. It was fully equipped to suit your travel needs. The interior design touches created a comfortable lodge. Ample space and finished to a very high standard. The location was absolutely tip top in terms of access to nearest supermarket which is unusual on Skye. It is in a secluded position, however, accessible to other amenities like a petrol station. A rarity on Skye. Booking system was efficient and easy with good communication. A bonus from the property is spotting wildlife. We have seen seals, porpoises, pine martens and roe deer, which came into the garden. A perfect stay!August 2021

A Very Special Location
The View was easy to find, even in the dark. We had to wait until daylight to appreciate the stunning location and it's absolutely all about 'the view' from the huge windows. This changes contstantly and is a joy, totally relaxing and absorbing. It was a fantastic place to stay and unwind and from which to explore. The house is cosy in the morning, warm underfoot, and we appreciated the wood burner, especially when Storm Arwen was blowing. We are used to starting a fire but could not manage with just the logs and firelighters supplied. Additional kindling and newspaper got it going no problem. FYI, for anyone not used to a stove - there are two dampers which help control the fire located a) lever under the ash drawer - pull forward to open/back to close b) a small knob on the drawer moves side to side opening vents. Open for draft and closed controls the burn, important when it is windy and the fire will consume logs very quickly and create a lot of heat. It gets very warm upstairs. The spacious kitchen is well equipped and had all the items we needed. The host provided teabags, coffee, straws of sugar, salt and pepper mill, oil and vinegar, herb selection and a bottle of white wine which we enjoyed :) All was generally clean. Cleaning items provided were poor for keeping kitchen clean during stay so we got extra dishcloths. Nearest supermarket is in Broadford but there is a useful General Store/Post Office at An Crubh, 1.5 miles further on A851. It is also a cosy, bright cafe which serves a very tasty Sunday Lunch. The Duisdale Hotel was lovely for an afternoon tea by the open fire and an evening of fine dining. The beds and furnishings are very comfortable and there are plenty throws to snuggle up in. The windows are all vented and we needed to close the vents on the wildest days to keep the heat in and the noise out, especially in the bedroom. We would return to this place without hesitation, the View will draw us back I'm sure.December 2021

Privacy and Tranquility
Breathtaking Views across the Sound of Sleat to the Knoydart peninsula. The location is second to none. Exceptionally clean accommodation with many wow features! Most notably the full height glazed gable with centralised log burning stove. A well managed property and we can’t wait to return.December 2021

The Name Says It All
We had a great 5 nights here for my 50th Birthday. The name does really say it all, the views from the property are spectacular and you could sit and watch out the windows most of the day/night (we did, we put some nuts on the log outside the window at night and saw a pinemarten). The property was very clean and very well appointed. Everything that we required was there (for cooking in). Ben and the team are so responsive to any queries (even when it turned out to be operator error, oops). We would highly recommend the view and skye serviced accomodation to anyone.February 2022

A true 5 star property. Wonderfully equipped and stylishly decorated with fantastic views. We had superb time at The View and the view of the sunrrise in the morning was worth the money alone.March 2022

A slice of heaven - the property is finished to an outstanding standard. The kitchen is excellently equipped and the living rooms have everything you need for a rainy day in front of the fire. The view from the garden is breathtaking, with the property perched next to the water, on a clear day you can see across to the mainland and on a lucky day you’ll spot a dolphin. Fantastic place, perfect for our wedding stayApril 2022

Had the most amazingly tranquil stay at The View. Location is breathtaking and the design of the property so that you take in the views from every single window was appreciated. Very clean, cosy and well stocked in the kitchen made this a home from home. Beautiful drives to all the walks that the Isle has to offer. Would definitely stay again.June 2022
