Fair to good
We enjoyed our stay and the house is very cute. Thankful of all appliances available. Maybe remove sky as it isn’t paid for so a lot of programmes don’t work, t.v is great as it’s a smart tv so still plenty of choice to watch what you like. Living room seating isn’t very comfortable and the bed isn’t very comfortable might be best if there is a good mattress protector on it?? The dog next door is annoying as it barks a hell of a lot. Heating ... I think maybe a fan for the log burner would help circulate heat in the living room as it’s very hard to heat that room, and is the room that you mostly be in. These however are not complaints (apart from the dog) they are just factors i feel will help improve the stay. The house itself is very lovely and we did enjoy our time there. The caretaker was a very nice man and was lovely to meet him...

The Old Post Office, Bernisdale.
An absolutely brilliant, cosy, comfortable cottage on Skye! All the latest mod-cons yet still keeping the original feel of a traditional cottage with the thick, whitewashed walls and drying pulley. Only a short 15 minute drive north of Portree. Extremely comfortable beds and living area - we were sad to leave! Iain and family, Edinburgh.

Great accommodation in beautiful Skye
We would recommend the old post office cottage for a visit to Skye. Great location within 15mins drive to Portree for all amenities, and a great central location to explore the island. The cottage was very cosy and comfortable for my husband, 7 year old son and I. It was clean with everything we needed. The bottle of wine on arrival was a lovely wee touch and very much enjoyed! Thank you for a lovely stay :-)

Thank you so much. A jewel of a cottage. Immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, rustic, quaint, super cosy AND with all mod cons, and beautiful touches like the arran aromtics toiletries and complementary bottle of wine. We had a fabulous time and would love to visit again.

From the moment I booked, we had great communication from Skye letting , letting us know when we could arrive, which was earlier than the original time, the directions were spot on. In the cottage their is a little wood burner, which we had on at night's, plenty sticks to keep it going and it was so cosy The cottage was so spotlessly clean, which I think is very important at this time, lovely fresh towels and the bedding is professionally cleaned, new carpets and everything you could possibly need in the house There is a nice wooden table and chairs out the back, which we managed to use the first couple of days before the rain started Extremely enjoyable few days, will definitely be back

Great location, but a little basic for the price.
First , the positives. The location is great in the middle of the island, not far from most of the places you’d want to visit. The management company was also helpful and communicative before our stay. The house itself is OK, if a little small and basic in some areas. It was clean and reasonably well equipped, and with quick WiFi. But to be honest it is pretty cramped for four adults - might be better for a couple and two kids. The mattresses could also do with an upgrade at this price level. Also, and I know there’s not much the owners can do about this, but we were woken up every morning by the neighbour’s dog barking at 6/6.30, which was a little irritating on holiday.

Lovely cottage in Bernsidale
The Old Post Office was a really nice cottage in Bernisdale - about 5 miles north of Portree. It was well furnished, with a very comfortable double bed and an excellent shower. It had all the amenities we needed for our stay and everything was nice & clean. The cottage also has a second twin bedded room so could accommodate four people. There was a bottle of wine on arrival which was very much appreciated after a long day driving & sightseeing plus it was my birthday so that went down very well indeed and was a very nice touch. We can't recommend the cottage enough and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there!

Beautiful, cosy and comfortable
A great 3 days in a lovely cottage. Very comfortable and welcoming. Well equipped kitchen (small but just enough space). Good shower. Very clean throughout. Comfy beds. Lovely front and rear gardens with lots of bulbs and a great bird feeder (fat balls provided :). I will definitely stay there again!

This is one of our favorite places to stay ever! The Old Post Office is very small but oh so cozy. We ended up with 5 of us (the late addition of my daughter!) so it was tight but we felt very comfortable. The kitchen is well supplied, the bathroom clean and the beds comfortable. We especially loved the little cast iron fireplace, call the Hobbit! Very relaxing and very centrally located for exploring Skye!

Perfect Cosy Cottage
We only stayed in the Old Post Office for three nights and we wish we'd booked for longer. This is a perfect small cottage in a central location, easy to get to both Portree and Edinbane. Facilities were really good... the only thing missing were egg cups! I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

The cozy house is located in a quiet location, easily accessible from A850. Cozy and clean. There is a bird feeder in the front garden, and my daughter had enjoyed feeding birds.

Cozy, unique place to stay while exploring Skye
We loved our stay at the Old Post Office. It is just as quaint as pictured with lovely decor and clever ways to make the most of the limited space in a small cottage. The kitchen is well supplied, as is the bathroom. There is a tablet with information about the area as well as video clips demonstrating how to use the appliances. (helpful for international travelers). The bottle of wine was a nice tough, too ! It is in an peaceful place with a field across the road about 10 minutes drive from Portree and good spot to explore northern Skye.

Tout était parfait! La maison a beaucoup de charme, la literie est confortable, le linge de lit très agréable, tout est réuni pour passer un très bon séjour et découvrir l’île de Skye. Il est même possible de faire un feu lorsque les soirées sont un peu fraîches. Le seul problème: c’était trop court 😉

Amazing place
The Bernisdale Old Post Office was an absolutely lovely, charming and comfortable place to stay for a visit to Isle of Skye. The property is well-cared for and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. It was clean and well-equipped and the communication before and during the stay was excellent.
