Shore Cottage Isle of Skye - Loved it
The Shore Cottage was perfect for our multi-generation family trip ages 20 yrs to 93 yrs. There was enough space for the 5 of us. The living room was super comfortable, we enjoyed family dinners in the dining area, breakfast in the kitchen and use of the beautiful kitchen to cook our meals. It was quite chilly and rainy and warmed up nicely next to the wonderful wood burning stove. We also walked along the shore during low tide, watched the sea birds and even saw a deer cross the channel during low tide. The out door deck was wonderful. The home felt brand new and was decorated beautifully. We hope to come back someday and will be recommending this cottage to friends. Also, it is an easy drive to Portree. Lastly, the folks at Skye Service were wonderful and helpful. Thank you!

Gorgeous, clean nautical-themed house on the water
This home was built with love—you can just see it—and with so much attention to detail. It was sparkling clean, with the most stunning artwork on the walls, and nautical touches throughout. We felt so cozy and comfortable and were amazed by all the little extras that weren’t listed in the description. The views of the sunsets over the water were breathtaking. I am very picky about where I stay, and usually I can find something I didn’t like, but we honestly loved everything about this home and wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Just Spectacular
For those looking for some peace and quiet while traveling in Skye, this is the place to be. Only 3.5 miles from Portree, this home is a wonderful place to relax after a busy day of hiking the beautiful Isle of Skye. The scenery from the deck at sunrise and sunset is spectacular. We spent many nights just relaxing and enjoying the views. The home is well equipped with all things needed while staying there. It is nicely upgraded with modern appliances and furnishings and with three bedrooms allowed all of us to have our own space. We absolutely loved our time there and will definitely book this one the next time we're in Scotland. Just spectacular!

Three couples stay
The view is fantastic and home is very clean with great amenities. Communication was great and directions on how to get there and get in we’re also very accurate. Where things did not work out as well as we had hoped, was with the beds. We had 3 couples and the listing showed that there would be 3 king size beds. Since this was the only location on isle of Skye that advertised 3 large beds, we jumped on it. Turns out there were 2 queen beds and a full or double bed.

Heaven on Earth

Beautiful home in a Spectacular waterfront location
Stayed 3 nights at this incredibly lovely and beautifully restored waterfront home away from home and wished we had booked a full week. No question- this was definitely the way to enjoy Skye if you have a car! The house had had everything we could need and the owner was very responsive and gracious enough to come out on a Sunday to look into a glitch with the water heater. My only recommendation would be to post an instructional sheet for some of the appliances and switches and heating units. For us non-UK citizens -many of the controls were a bit confusing to figure out. It would also be helpful to note that any excess trash needs to be taken up the road to the bins as there are none on site. Other than that, our stay, was absolutely brilliant, and we would certainly love to return for a full week in the future!

Shore Cottage in Portree
A fabulous house on Loch Portree with great views of Portree across the Loch and the Old Man of Storr off in the distance. Located on a small rural road, this house is away from the bustle of downtown Portree, but a 5 minute drive in case you need to go into town for whatever reason. Relax to great sunsets and to the tides going in and out with the ability to take nice walks on the tidal flats at low tide. The house has spacious bedrooms, nice bathrooms, a well-appointed kitchen, and several outdoor seating areas to take in the scenery. If you’re lucky, the sheep in the meadow next door will come down to take a visit. A great stay! Thanks, John!!

What an unbelievable wee place. We couldn't believe ourselves when we arrived. The house is spacious, beautiful, cosy, with amazing furnishes and the most unbelievable views (I mean, how often do you get to have breakfast with The Old Man of Storr in sight !!!). The checkout was super easy and the house was pristine, too! We spent some really blissful days here, we were almost grateful for the rainy weather that gave us an excuse to cosy up and spend time in the house. Simply a fantastic stay, we cannot wait to return one day- probably going to end up planning an entire trip just around staying at Shore Cottage again!!
